Happy Halloween! Disney Style of Course...

So it's about a month before Halloween and we managed to get a day off to make a Disney Run! They were totally decked out with Halloween nick nacks and whatchyamacallits. Pretty fun stuff! So here it is, Halloween in the world of Disney!

The tram ride to the park was already looking promising....

So when we got to the entrance way we were already excited to see what was in store. Minnie and Donald and Pluto were there to greet us....

Along with the good ole'(not necessarily old...;) Disneyland Band!

There were lots of decorations....

Even a Halloween tree!

And Jack-o-lanterns both happy and sad in every window up high...

And fun Mickey and Minnie pumpkins in the the windows below!

Next we took a visit to our favorite lands....

Adventureland...

New Orleans Square....

Frontierland....

And a quick peek at Critter Country.

After a short break, we decided to head over to California Adventures!

We thought this was pretty nifty

Spencer was definitely excited to see this big chunk of candy!

And, well... I was pretty excited too.

So, as Superman and Cookie Monster, we headed into California's Halloween Time!

Talk about a stomach ache...

Then, we hit the jackpot!

Now THAT'S our kind of health food ;)

Spencer was getting out of hand at this point, trying to eat any and everything!

We figured we'd head back over to disneyland for a final goodbye for the weekend.

And with a final tune from our good friends....

We were out for the season. Have a happy and fun Halloween everyone!

Our Weekend Extravaganza

Hi Everybody, I know that it has been a little while since we have posted and we are sorry about that but we are going to make up for it with some sweet pics and stories starting right now. Ok so as you all know last Friday was the 4th of July and our anniversary is on the 11th of July so we decided that we would just clump it into one extended weekend. Michael was very kind and gave us Friday, Saturday and Monday off. Trying to think about what we could do we decided that to save money on gas it would be best to just stay close by. So we searched and searched for some deals close to home and we found some that looked wonderful. So without further adue we proudly present....ta da! Our Weekend Extravaganza!

So Thursday night we took off from work early and we checked into the Trump Las Vegas. As we pulled up the valet opened our doors and welcomed us. I told him to make sure he didn't get my car dirty :) We headed inside and came upon a beautiful lobby filled with crystal and gold. It is a non gaming, non smoking Hotel so there was no noisy games or smelly smoke. We checked in and proceeded to our room on the 53rd floor.
The bed looked quite inviting but before we get a chance to settle in there is a knock on the door and there stood a member of the attache' service... many of you may not know what that it (I know i didn't before I checked into the hotel) but it is pretty much like having a Butler. "On behalf of the attache' service" he said with a smile "we welcome you to Trump international hotel" and then he pushed in a cart with all kinds of goodies.

"If you need anything just ring" He said and then left. We didn't quite know what to think of this but we thought it was pretty cool. The 72 dollar champagne was a little much we thought. Being that we both figured that we had never had a hangover and the slightest bit of alcohol would probably do us both in we decided to give the lobby a call. After explaining the situation they exchanged the champagne for a pitcher of fresh squeezed apple juice! It was delicious!
Also they gave us 2 bottles of water imported from New Zealand. It was even better then City of Henderson tap water ;) I couldn't believe it. After basking in the comfort of the room we opened the curtains and look what we saw.
It was quite a view. We could actually see the Bellagio fountains going off from our room.
The Tub in our bathroom was about 4 feet deep and was a jet tub. It was awesome! and if you get bored in the tub the decided to include a little extra feature. A Small T.V. Built into the bathroom mirror. In the evening time we were enjoying the bath tub and apparently we forgot to turn on the do not disturb sign (which was electronic) The turn down service decided to pay us a visit. She was quite shocked to see that we were in the room and seemed quite embarrassed. I slipped on the robes that were provided in the room and opened the door to see what she needed. She was just trying to put some ice in our ice bucket and some chocolates on our pillows. Seeing that she was quite embarrassed i refrained from embarrassing her any farther. instead i graciously took the chocolates and ice told her to have a pleasant evening. That night we went to the Fashion show mall which was right next door to the hotel and did some browsing. We had a wonderful night at the Trump. The next day after we checked out of our room we stopped and got a bite to eat at panda. Then we headed across town to a black light miniature golf course

Even after getting a hole in one I still couldn't get ahead of Rene who slaughtered me. As we were leaving we saw that there was a goodwill in the same complex. We decided to check it out and Rene found a nice outfit for 8 dollars. Shoes, Shirt and Jeans. I thought it was a pretty good deal for sure. Now since it was the 4th of July we couldn't bare to go the whole day without shooting off some fireworks. We hit up the local fireworks stand and picked up some good ones.
After we finished with the fireworks we decided to drive around and look at some of the fireworks that Vegas had to offer. We had a wonderful firework filled 4th.

The next day we just kinda relaxed. Went and saw a couple of movies.

On Sunday we decided to go to the South Point and stay the night there. It was a quite nice hotel casino and for 42 bucks you can't beat that.
That night we decided to go eat at Denny's. There was a few people there and only one waiter... I think there may have only been one cook also because it was taking them quite a long time. We just sat and talked and enjoyed ourselves but after about an hour of waiting we were getting pretty hungey. I think that the manager noticed this and thought that we might get upset so he came over to the table and said "I do apologize for the wait and you don't have to worry your meal is free" We looked at each other and figured that was a pretty good deal. So after ordering 5 rounds of dessert we decided that we would head back to the hotel. Just kidding we didn't take advantage. We did eventually get our food and had a wonderful free meal. The next day we got up and I get ready to hop into the shower and I realize that we have no hot water. I was a little frustrated about that because I get enough of that problem at our apartment. So we call down to the front desk and ask what is going on. It ends up that they were soldering a pipe or something and so they gave us free lunch buffet vouchers. :) So we enjoyed yet another free meal before we headed home. Monday night we decided that we didn't have very many souvineers from our weekend so we decided what better place in Las Vegas to get them then the Circus Circus.
As you can see Rene did pretty well. I on the other hand left with nothing but a smile ;)

And that is the story of our Weekend, Filled with Romance and Suspence, Mystery and Intrugue, Adventure and Excitement, and a few free meals. Rene and I have been married for almost a year now and I can't speak for Rene but I have been loving every minute of it!

Until next time hope you all have a lovely day!

Mother's Day at Disneyland

Well we just couldn't help it. We had to go back to Disneyland! We decided we better make our year passes worth it so we packed our snacks and clothes and headed down to the world of disney once again. We were excited to get to see Grandma Janet and Grandpa Bob again, and of course, to see Mikey again too. We definitely had fun and loved being able to roam disneyland without feeling rushed to go on everything or see everything, and just being able to relax. So, without further ado, here's some pics from our most recent trip!
Spencer was super excited when we arrived!

I sure was excited about this "R"

Spencer was bummed there was no "S" in "California", but "O" works!

Us on Autopia, I think we might've ran over a wandering child at this point... eyes on the road!!!

As chilly as it was in the morning, Spencer dared me to run through the fountain and not get wet...

I made it! whew... that was close...

Then a cast member gave us some free hats.....

A whole $148.99 value!!!

Then California Screamin' broke down right after take off

And then everyone had to get off and walk down the coaster

Of course I had to get a pic in front of it

A trip to Disneyland is NEVER complete without a trip to the Mad Hatter!

Spencer has this thing about pirates and treasure.. I can't really figure it out..

I guess skulls can be kind of cute

Super cute! and super suave

Aww what a pair

From bad boy,

To show boy,

To fish boy!

and.... cat.. girl..?

Pluto gave us both a big wet kiss as soon as he saw us

That's all from this trip! We hope everyone had a great mother's day and we luv you guys!
